So earlier today I find out that MTV is bringing back Beavis & Butthead. Who knows for how long but I'll enjoy it while it lasts.
3 hours later I find out NBC has cancelled The Playboy Club. Damn it! I liked that show. Hope the unaired episodes turn up somewhere. The sets were well done and there was plenty of automotive eye candy as well the obvious eye candy. Yes I enjoyed the plot too. Sometimes I read the articles.
This is not a fair trade.
NBC had a LOT of advertisers pull because of the Playboy Club. Chrysler caught a lot of flak for advertising during the show, and had to issue a press release to basically say "we don't care what you think, and we are going to spend our ad dollars where we want to."
That is why the show is getting cancelled...well, that, and the fact that nobody watches NBC anymore.
yeah, I know....why can't adults have fun too? Put the kiddies to bed or change the channel people!
NBC can't do a damn thing right anymore. I enjoy America Has Talent, and Jimmy Fallon, and that's about it. That Knight Rider abomination was the nail in the coffin I believe. Not to mention letting go go of Coco.
Every time they advertise a new show I bet with my friends how long it will last before it gets canned. So far they're winning. Guess I'm optimistic. So is NBC.

A colleague of my sister's was in the episode of Playboy Club that was supposed to air tonight, got rescheduled for next week, and now won't air, which means he gets a tiny fraction of what his pay was supposed to be. There were probably 30-50 actors in the same position, too. That sucks.
people still watch TV? My set has been broken for weeks.. can't say I miss it
Wow! I really liked the Playboy Club.
It wasn't too sexy for prime time.
Maybe a cable channel will pick it up and then they can add back enough gratuitous sex shots to make it a hit.
NBC owns a whole slew of cable channels.. i think USA is a part of that empire, and so is Syfy.. maybe it will turn up there..
Yeah, My wife just told me tonight that Playboy Club was Cancelled. I'm annoyed as hell because the new shows I seem to like always get cancelled. They better not cancel Pan Am.
Also, Amber Heard is freaking beautiful. Arrrgh!
Seriously, I'm pissed now. This is the 4th new show they cancelled on me this year. They can't give them time to build viewership. Yeah they only filmed 5 episodes, but still, they could have waited.

Joke post.
Parks & Rec, Community, and 30 Rock. Come to think of it, NBC is the only network worth watching these days.
Playboy Club tried to capture the feel of Mad Men, and failed terribly. The wooden Pan Am is next.
I think....CBS and Fox are the only networks I watch any more
NBC's Thursday night line up is great, and it's also the only tv I watch as it airs. Everything else I download.

One of my favorite shows ever! That and Metalocalypse.
I caught the premier, and it was OK. You know what I liked best? There was a story, it wasn't fake reality, and no one got voted off.

I haven't watched ANY Big 3 network television in so long, I've forgotten when it was. There's absolutely nothing I'm interested in.
The New Girl is pretty funny so far....
I miss Perfect Hair Forever.

You know, on paper, Zoe Deschanel is exactly my type - wavy brown hair, blue eyes, cute smile, nice enough figure - but every time I see her in something, I just want to bitchslap her.
I don't like that they replaced "Coach" with this other guy, though.

If you've not seen it, Amber Heard's 'Star in a Reasonably Priced Car' segment on Top Gear last year is priceless.
"Sounds like... you know how to party."

The New Girl is probably the funniest new show on TV. Its the only show I watch on Fox. CBS has all the good stuff for the most part. And Duke, Your opinion is wrong.
I find NBC to have the best sitcoms. IMHO, ABC is very family oriented, I'm not in the demographic. CBS is just lame, and whoever decided to continue 2 1/2 men needs a bitchslap. It has been a while, but last time I tried to watch Fox sitcoms they where immature at the level of middle school fart jokes, that said, I want to give The New Girl a try, I do like Zoe
I don't know when they are on but thanks to my cable box i watch three shows. NCIS, Various Law and Orders and Mike and Molly, which may be the funniest show on TV.
