Weird out there lately, I hope everyone on here is well. I'm going to try and think of things that make me grateful.
I'm very thankful for a nice long visit from my long lost friend today. I blew off "work" and we just sat and caught up all day. Good day.
Late getting the summer tires on the car, but all of them still have air pressure from last year. The A/C even works!
Got up this morning, went to town with my bride, got a couple of breakfast sandwiches and a coffees, then drove down to the beach and watched the waves.
No radio. No phones. Just sat and watched the sea.
Like a couple of psychopaths.

Sounds nice. Maybe we'll be psycopaths today.
I need to get to the woods. Bwca on June 17th. No phones!
First day back to work at the track (lrp) with social distancing, no right seat or left seat time. It was good to be back but kinda weird.
I spent most of the day learning how to sew some simple laundry bags , first time I ever sewed anything after wanting to do it for years......
and I watched the Space X launch ......
Stay safe , do something relaxing , take care of yourself.....
...And I think it's gonna be a long long time

I'm not the man they think I am at home
Oh no no no I'm a rocket man
Rocket man burning out his fuse up here alone...
Rode motorcycles with my kid. She set a new fast lap yesterday, I did the same today. Talked to the kart guys a bunch. Helped them lift karts off and on stands. My daughter helped find a carb needle clip that was dropped on the asphalt. She has eagle eyes. I like the kart guys. In this tiny part of the world it feels very normal.

Been itchin for it myself. I just found out about the existence of the Sylvania Wilderness area, so I'm angling to get a trip there this summer at some point.
Felt like a normal Saturday to me. Went for a mtn bike ride with friends. Came home and did some yard work. Then went to my mother's house to help her with a couple of tasks. Stopped at the grocery store on the way home and found out from the checkout lady Philadelphia is burning.
We get insulated out here in the suburbs sometimes...

Go check out the sailrite.com how to videos. Super helpful. I taught myself to sew with them.

Oof, I HATED those clips. I swear I would lose one every time we were at the track. And for the Rotax, they were a spec item. I ended up buying a bag of them (but they were like a buck e piece).

did race cr things with race car friends for the first time this year. I know it was the first time because I forgot sunblock.... and I am feeling it this morning. Going to do it again today.
I'm thankful that I get to go on a vacation next week. I've been such a shut-in.
8 days on Chincoteague getting some shopping done, go fishing every day for flounder, shark, and blues. Put out crab pots, rake some clams, hit the beach. Just me, a tent, and family and good friends.
If I remember, the first thing I do in the morning is tell myself "Today will be a great day". After that I take my tea and go measure a few of my 67 Loblolly Pine seedlings and check out the property in general. Nice way to start the day. The one below is a smaller one at 28" but should reach about 42" by fall and about 50% of them will reach 48-52". They are very predictable.

Starting out with some Church Of Caddy in the garage - always great to wrench in the cool morning air.
Coffee with SWIMBO in the camper, walk down the trail and work on the Sugar Shack. I'm good with it.
23rd anniversary for my wife and I. Getting ready for a big move this summer, both with new jobs in a new city. Exciting times ahead.
