there is an eating area of Andy Nelson's BBQ that is in a garage and it is on York Rd. So there's a lot in homage to the GRM Andy Nelson. The BBQ Andy Nelson played safety for the Colts and was their 3rd QB, he and Artie Donovan were friends with my grandfather and came out to my games in high school. When I transitioned to strong safety from QB when going from high school to college, Andy was a life saver and spent countless hours going over tape with me in the spring and summer before my freshman year. As tasty as is BBQ is, particularly if you like carolina style vinegar tang, he's an even better man.

This trip is Tuesday. I pick her up at 8 and we both need to be back to Harrisburg by 3. So, shop from 10-12, eat 12-1, and head back.

Inexplicably well with a couple stumbles.
First stumble was that I got in my truck to go get her and the 5.4L popped a spark plug out of the head. Fortunately it was half a mile from Mom and Dad's, so I limped in and borrowed his truck.
The trip was amazing. The radio was never turned on and the conversation never stopped getting deeper. She is a beautiful soul and we're very much on the same level spiritually and intellectually. It went so well that she kind of snapped back and bit into protection mode (second stumble) and I thought maybe I lost her. She is very newly out of a marriage and not keen on letting herself fall in with a new person so quickly. Very wise, and she's very emotionally fluent, so I applaud her caution and her attention to her emotional needs. I have been very careful to let her make the moves and set the pace, which has actually made her fall for me even more.
I don't normally kiss and tell, but... yeah. Its been a long time for me. Last night was the first kiss and some [insert not-sexual but high-intimacy activity here] cuddling on the new couch. Much energy was shared and it feels SO lovely. JeepGuy, your intuition must have been buzzing last night when you typed that.
She said the five words that a guy like me longs to hear: "I feel safe with you." Might not be what other guys want to hear, but I would rather hear that than anything else.
I'm at that point in my emotional involvement where songs have new meaning, sunsets look more colorful, and all that other whispy stuff. I love it.
I was talking about my rather platonic date with my 16 year old nephew who just started dating a girl. They're both SDA church kids and their parents' rules don't even allow for hand holding. My nephew smiled and said, "dude, I'm not even allowed to hold hands and I'm getting more action than you are."

We decided on Woodberry, but the website lied... they're not open for lunch. They directed us to a coffee/sandwich shop down the street that is the same owners and chef. Alchemy Coffee. Really delicious food, neat Texas barn-feel to the decor.
