ok, if you hook like 12 of those together, and do a big ol' snake, I'll support that.

Tuna don't do it. Don't willingly become that guy.

Figure out another way to carry three kids by yourself, all of whom may be having various stages of temper tantrums that can also fit into the back of a Freestyle and not be insane or silly or rotary powered.

Old Rule* If I pay over 500 bucks for it , I better be able to ride it. If it won't run for that money, I'm out.

Another vote for the BOB. I cried parting with over $500 for a new one, but it has been hiking, running, walking. Grass in the park, not a flinch, rock trail on the top of a mesa, all day long. Only problem I ever had was getting thorns in the tires and flats. A little slime fixed that. Even rigged it to the dog to help pull on 10+ mile hikes. Big pneumatic tires for the win and a nice barring set.

$20 umbrella is the clear winner for the mall though, the BOB is too big to get around the racks.

$1200 for a stroller? Dude, I could get 3 wrecked cars and start a Challenge team with that kind of money. A stroller can't run a 1/4 mile or an autocross course. Having children is silly.

I'd get one of those hands-free golf bags that follow you around and bolt a car seat to it.

+1,000,000 for the Ergo! My daughter really only ever liked being in the Ergo with me, and I found it very comfortable and super easy to use.

As for strollers, we have a Graco and I have no issues with the build quality at all. It fit her car seat when she was in it, and now she sits normally very happily. We have no quality complaints with it, it is easy to fold up (literally one handed) and fits in the trunk of my wifes Focus sedan. I wonder if the differences between the Canadian and US models are more than just teh warning stickers?

We have a Chicco "Keyfit 30" 3-in-1 deal, as people said it would be the best fit for our Fit. We've been really happy with it. Only time we use the stroller is at the park, but it's pretty rad. Rugged, car seat snaps in, or baby can just buckle in, opens and closes with one hand/squeeze of the handle. We got it on sale + coupons for a little over $150. You can't do wheelies with the wrap-thing.

Hahaha, I forgot to add that too! I have also taken to "drifting" the stroller when we are on polished concrete or tile floors. My daughter loves it and giggles harder when I go faster. My wife walks in a different aisle...

We LOVE our City Mini. It rolls very well on less than perfect surfaces (DON'T underestimate the value of that), fits in small cars (we had an E30 when we bought it, and wanted to be able to go on trips) Carrying a 27lb porker of a boy gets old if you're out for a long walk or shopping. The one handed folding is brilliant: the boy in one arm while you fold and load the stroller with the other. I'd recommend it to anyone, but beware the "accessories" are expensive.

Agree!
When our kids were that size we had both an umbrella stroller and a bigger stroller. The umbrella stroller was used all the time. Don't remember ever using the bigger stroller after the trial run.

Which stroller was that? I'll be damned if I can remember the name of it, but we had one that sounded just like it. It was as long as a freight train. It had two seats, one behind the other, stadium seating style. Then behind that, there was a platform for a toddler/young kid to stand on. It was great in theory, but what a monster to try to navagate around in. And like you said, loading it into any vehicle was a pain. We ditched that monster and went with a used double wide thing we found on CL for like $40. Worked like a charm.

We never tried the train wagon. We had the standard plastic wagon that all 3 of the kids would squeeze into. But now that my twins are 4 and my oldest is 7, we just make them walk.

Yeah, that was it!! What a beast. I remember a few times trying to roll that sum' b!tch around a department store with the wife. I got so frustrated with it, I just took it outside and walked around the sidewalks...blocking everyone elses' path... And when it was loaded with 3 kids and all their crap underneath, it need a diesel engine to get it moving and 6 piston brakes to stop it... We never did make our nanny use it. We just had her use the smaller double wide we had and let our older kid walk.
