Easier than shocks on a Miata? Friend is willing to buy the full replacement pieces, and knows that she will need to take it in for an alignment afterwards, but I've never done struts, only shocks on Miatae (ad pickup trucks, years ago).

You'll need a spring compressor, and an impact wrench is very helpful. Oh, and the first year for the Focus was 2000, so I'm guessing you meant '04?

Unlikely. We have the yearly DC Solo Committee meeting that night and the tech day is in the wrong direction of where I need to be before that.
