So I bought a MINI Cooper S last year because I wanted a new daily driver that I could autocross. Was disappointed to find out that they no longer offered the mechanical LSD and declined the ELSD because it is stupid, and if I ever decided to upgrade to a mechanical LSD, I wasn't sure how they'd get along.

Anyway, I have a pretty solid set-up for now, co-drove an STR S2000 this year, but that may or may not be going away for next season.

I've been trying to decide what to do with the MINI. More and more research is showing that I kinda screwed myself for DS/RTF by not getting a older one that had the LSD and by not getting the JCW kit, since those are stock class legal now.

Full prep for STX would probably make the car annoying on the street, but that would be the other option.

Maybe D Stock is better option than RTF because with stickier tires, inside wheelspin will be less of an issue? I dunno.

Whoops... didn't mean to put this is Off-Topic Discussion.

Will repost in regular; maybe this can go away?

I'd think wheelspin would be MORE of an issue in DS vs RTF. More lateral grip = more roll, but very similar forward grip.

What is in the JCW kit? Can you do a conversion?
