If this were my son I would do the following
- contact a good lawyer.
- file charges against them with the state labor board
- sue them for many many things.
Do not go back to work for them, they are not a company that is worth his time.
Noone would mess with one of my children in that fashion and live to tell the tale. They'll pay all right starting in the 7 figure range..
