Funny I don't really care who wins, well as long as pittsburg loses lol. Just watching commercials wait here they come...
The GoDaddy commercial had no reason to be finished up online, they could have easily gotten away with it after doritos did the ripping off a woman's clothes thing.
Bud light out the window was good, the potato head one was good as well

He's driving a Factory Five (I guess) with "10" in the roundel and "9 Central" on the quarter panel.
His new show.

He has a prime time show (10 eastern/9 central) coming this fall.
My 7 year old liked the 3 D ones, first time he ever experienced it and kept reaching for the screen.

Anyone catch the car that Vin Diesel was driving at the end of the ad for the new Fast and Furious movie?

I thought it was either a Monte Carlo or a GNX... but that was through beer goggles and fifteen feet from the TV.

But was it not a stick shift in the ad? I guess normal people wouldn't notice that and wouldn't care

You win a beer....
So does that mean all the punk high school kids are going to be buying up old buicks and montes to sup up next instead of civics? lol

just watched it again looked to be an auto but an aftermarket shifter. gotta get the big silver ratchet shifter to go with those massive aftermarket gauges they put in there.

Gotcha
hey maybe that'll drop the prices on supras and other heavily drift taxed cars. And Transformers revenge of the fallen now that looks gooooood.

Yeah, but it's a GNX that sounds like a Monte Carlo.
I wonder if the car in the movie is swapped, or it's just not accurate. Which I can't believe would happen in an F&F movie!

They found the engine for the mustang from tokyo drift and stuck it in

That's true, they probably overnighted those parts from Japan.
It's a clone. They didn't even start with a real Turbo Buick IIRC (hence the V8 noises). Notice there's a 70 Chevelle SS, the Charger is back, the GNX, and what looked to be a black Ferrari 550 Maranello? The storylines suck but I'm a sucker for cool car scenes so I'll watch it then by the DVD just like the last three...

I just saw the commercial on hulu to find the dig at Lexus, and sadly...it's my car. Not the exact same car, but my bodystyle ES300.
It even shows an elderly couple (I'm gonna take a WAG and say they're the owners? ) right behind the car.
And yeah, I hardly blame Mr. Statham for not using it as a getaway car.
Then again, didn't he escape from some Impala SS driving baddies in a convertible VW Rabbit in Crank?
Hello Hyundai?
Do you really think that people want to see angry Germans yelling in a commercial for your product?

Yeah I would think it would be a clone. I keep seeing old Buicks and Montes from the 80's sitting around this town that I could pick up for peanuts and have considered building a clone...but with something like an LS1 under the hood maybe additionally motivated a bit. One of the nice things about living where there are no emissions regs.

IIRC the 'stang in FFTD had a ford V8 droped back into it for the action sceens because the Nissan(?) I6 didn't have enough power. That was an entertaining tid bit from a copy of Car Craft
