I will never understand why they have such awesome bikes but such derpy cars.

And I'm hoping that SX4 used prices will tank now that they're leaving the US......I've wanted one for a while with absolutely no justification other than it seems like a vehicular swiss army knife. Of course, I've bought cars for less...

I had some friends that had a FWD SX4. It was a decent vehicle. It hauled their 3 kids and associated stuff. It was reliable but didn't get the greatest gas mileage (it was an auto). It was also terrible in the snow for a FWD but I attribute it to the OEM tires more than anything.

I always found the AWD SX4 fascinating. Could you get those in a manual?

My race car has a Suzuki 1.3 liter engine and it's plenty of fun to drive.

Suzuki did pull the motorcycles from the US market in 2010. The only bikes they sold here in 2010 was some dirtbikes and four wheelers. They had so much overstock that they had to sell 2009 models through 2010 to get rid of it all so they could restart in 2011. They are not doing that well in non automotive feilds either which is a shame. I think Honda is the big bike seller followed by Yamaha or Kawasaki. Suzuki is way back.

I hope the sx4 sport prices plummet. I will buy them all up.

yes, a six speed if memory serves, that was rated around 30mpg on the highway. Hence the need to own one.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Suzuki also rally the SX4? Maybe one year? I know a few people with Vitaras and they love them.

Which would explain why Suzuki and Kawasaki started doing R&D together in 2001 and was effectively disolved in 2005

What they did was offer models to each other in order to cover gaps in their lineup. Suzuki does the same with Nissan in Japan with their Kei cars

Daihatsu tried it with two models. Yeah, that worked out well.

This is ashame, but not surprising. I've driven an Aerio, SX4, and late model Vitara, they all seemed like well made cars, and the Aerio was quite spunky, were it not for cost of full coverage insurance on top of the car payment I would have bought one new. (High Insurance cost was because of where I live, I've purchased beaters for less than 1 year worth of full coverage ins)

I have also looked very seriously at the SX4, AWD 5 door. My problem was room all around. Up front I had less leg room than my neon, and out back felt cramped.
