Verbal. I figured he wouldn't be recording anything verbal because he'd be surprised by it the first time.

Besides, the best lawyer I ever knew told me 25yrs ago, "..just act like there is no such thing as a verbal contract, and you'll always be good..".

I had problems with an ex years ago, called the police, they asked her to stop, she didn't and ended up getting a court order with $3000 fine.

Like others have said, save all the texts, voicemails, and any other contact with him. The more the better, it shows his intentions, beyond what he will say in court.

My cell phone also has a block number feature, you can add a number to the que and when that person calls your phone doesn't ring and won't let the person leave a message either.
