Posted this in the Open Classifieds forum, but thought I'd do it here too...
Does anyone know anyone looking for a Gotta Have It Green Boss 302 fully loaded with the Red Key? Met a lady who has to sell hers for what her payoff is, which is about $45k. Car is in Abilene sitting in her garage because she can't drive stick. Her husband is in jail and she can't afford it. It has the Ford PermiumCare warranty and Premium Maintenance packages, both of which can be transferred to the knew owner if I'm not mistaken. Let me know, I have all her contact information.
I have seen 2013 Leguna Seca's going for 46K or so with very very low miles. Option dependent its a 36-37K car in my world.
Yeah, I don't know exactly what payoff is on it, but I can get the vin and find out here at the dealership I work for. I will if anyone is serious. With all the warranties they got on it, even if the dealer let it go at sticker, they spent over $50k on it.
in jail for what? is she hot?

I guess it pays to be a criminal.
I don't have a $45k car.

it can't be that- a good criminal pays cash and doesn't need to finance.
the thing about these sob stories about why someone just has to sell a car is that they are rarely being 100% truthful and just won't admit that they flat out can't afford the car that they just had to have...
The sad thing is, no matter how cool and awesome it is, and how much better this generation of car is than all the previous ones, at some point 10-15 years from now it's either going to be a garage queen and worth 1/2 what it cost new, or just another beat up old Mustang and we'll be posting links to the C-list ad in the $2000x classifieds.

This is true - as more and more bigger ticket items (refrigerators, TVs...cars) become essentially disposable, resale value for these items will dwindle rapidly. The resale market will simply be for those willing to accept a model 2 or 3 years older than whats current at a price tag half of the new stuff because thats what they can afford. I think redneck retirement plan mustangs and Camaros are a thing of the past Im afraid...

I wish that would happen to the newer GT-40s or the C6 ZR-1s, so I could buy one, but I don't see those ever coming down much. Doubt we'll ever see a Boss in the 2xxx classifieds either unless it's a burnt out shell.

Ditto, early 2007 Shelby GT500 Mustangs still seem to be in the low $30's for a car that stickerd for $42k 7 years ago.

That's right. I look at those occasionally and they just aren't dropping much.
you know what else doesn't drop much Subarus. Fanbois think used means it's worth more than sticker of a new one.
Anyways I'd love a boss but sounds fishy.

They are also not selling in the low 30's. Think 25 and change with the usual seller crap attached. Stock or very well modified ones in perfect shape are eghh.
