The last time I can recall going full-on Hulk transformation was at the height on my punk-rock era, c. 1983.
the catalyst was a bro intervening in a discussion I was having w/ his (idiot) bro buddy who'd unwisely run afoul of DC hardcore punk slam-pit etiquette by punching a girl in the t1t.
Intervening bro grabbed me and said:
"MELLOW OUT, MAN!"
And I was being pretty mellow already. I was just explaining that "we don't punch each other, we don't stage dive boots first, and ~we fall down but we pick each other up~" And I was ready to let it go.
But bro # 2 grabs me and starts shaking me and screaming "MELLOW OUT! MELLOW OUT, MAN!!"
And I responded with "I" (punch) "AM" (punch) "ALREADY" (punch) "MELLOW" (punch) "SO" (punch) "DON"T (punch) "berkeleyING" (punch) "TELL" (punch) "ME" (punch) "TO" "berkeleyING" (punch) "MELLOW" (punch) "OUT".
That was the only time I ever did that and I didn't especially like it.
