you're somewhat close, we talked about minimizing risk, no fence, but since it's not a county road it can be gated off. Which I would actually prefer as well, last thing I'd want to be lapping on there and someone come on running counter my direction. I won't post the specifics of where the owners and I currently sit regarding use, but it's not doom and gloom, working for a sanctioning body and having been a steward at events in the past certainly helped my cause to a surprising degree.
