This is a nut eating fish that has been reported to attack humans and eat their testicles. That is NOT a redundant statement in this case.

Nah, you just have to wear a cup.
In fact, wear a cup with fake testicles and a hook and you could fish for these berkeleyers.
There's a creepy little fish in Peru that will swim into your pee-pee hole and lodge itself there with hooks. Not kidding. It's called the Candiru.
I went fishing for Piranha in Peru and caught a Pacu instead. I did not know at the time that it was a ball eater. (Thankfully!)
Huh. My problem would be that after the attack the damn thing would still be hungry. Hungry fish = angry fish.

Myth.
I have a family vacation in Indiana on crooked lake. Hoping these things haven't spread out of Illinois.
Nope, not a myth. I actually wrote to a biologist who'd spent time in Peru to confirm, and he assured me that it was indeed true.

very real. http://animal.discovery.com/tv-shows/river-monsters/videos/fish-swims-up-urine-stream.htm
I grew up on the beach. When I first moved inland, I thought I was a badass because I'd seen sharks/barracuda, etc.
Didn't take me long to learn that there are more dangerous things living in fresh water than in the salt.
Damn, nature..you scary!

One reported case, highly controversial.
Also, I didn't even know Encyclopedia Britannica was still around!
With teeth like that, I wouldn't be overly worried. Those are the wrong design for flesh eating and tearing.
Reading up on the fish, sounds like it's quite tasty.
