I'm leaving a day early for a business trip and bringing the Mrs. along - we'll arrive at DFW lunchtime Saturday.

We'll spend Saturday afternoon touring the area in a rental car, eventually arriving at our hotel in downtown Dallas in the Arts District.

Sunday we'll see the mummy e36M3 at the art museum in the morning and the 6th Floor Museum in the afternoon.

Need restaurant suggestions - lunch Saturday in Fort Worth, dinner Saturday maybe north Dallas/Addison/Plano, and the rest of the time downtown.

Whatcha' got?

I like Riscky's Barbcue in Downtown Fort Worth. I had lots of lunches there when I worked on that side of town.

Sonny Bryan's on the Dallas side is the best in town. The Inwood location is kind of on the rough side of town but it is the original old smoke shack and has lots of character

Mattitos in Dallas has one of the best Sunday Brunches.

Los Molcajetes Mexican Restaurant‎ (817) 306-9000 at the intersection of Beach St. and Western Center in Fort Worth is great. (losmolcajetes.com) Expect a line. They make great Menudo and I don't even like menudo. Western Center & Beach is also the location of a large car meet every Saturday nite. The FW S2000 club hangs out there most Saturdays.

Cabo Grande near Sundance Square in downtown FW is good tex mex. They have Salsa lessons and dancing from 9-11 on Saturday nights. They also have a good Sunday Brunch.

For something a little different try Chefs Point Cafe. It's also in that area. It's white table cloth dining in a service station. The Chef couldn't be approved for a loan to open a restaurant but they would approve him for a service station so he bought one with a small grill and the rest is history. Great food. You can get everything from burgers to shephards pie to seafood pastas. His lamb is good.

Ditto on Sonny Bryans, but I really like Spring Creek BBQ just a little better cause of the rolls. Dickeys BBQ has the best vegetables and BBQ Frito Pie.
