It's a fakenbacher of mysterious origin. It's got a bolt on neck and single truss rod, which indicates it's not a real Ric, but it's stamped Made in USA on the neck plate and a few other places, and genuine Ric parts fit right on it. No one's been able to figure out what the hell it is.
Oh, and if anyone would like to check out our music or download some songs, there's a bunch of them here.

Ric did make a bass with a bolt on neck. 3000 series, IIRC. No idea on the single truss rod though.

The 2000 series also had a bolt on neck, but both the 2000 series and 3000 series were a totally different looking bass, had a different headstock, and dot inlays. From five feet away, mine looks exactly like a 4000 series. I actually carried into a local music shop that's a Ric dealer to look for parts once, and the guy at the counter said "Wow, what year is it!" with excitement. My response was "Uh, I don't know, but I'm pretty sure it's fake." He was pretty impressed by it's quality for being a copy.
so corey, which one in the pics of the band are you?
congrats on the win dude and keep up the work.
what style of music do you guys play? I listened to about a min or a few songs and have to say not bad for music style.

Props!!!
As an objective observer, I'd say that you should think about going the way of your 2nd guitarist in terms of a look.
The "Hootie and the Blowfish circa 1995" look needs some updating. The drummer's dad jeans and the hunting hat don't say "hip and marketable".
No offense intended. I'm less than a month away from 40 and I'm acutely aware of my appearance when playing a tiny open mic. You guys are making an impression on much larger audiences in comparison.
Again, though--congrats on quite an achievement. A lot can be done with $10k now in the digital age--like a decent-sounding album.

I completely agree with you. I don't really get into fashion or style and what-not, but I also don't think we should play shows in whatever clothes happen to be on the floor when I wake up. Andy and Quinn aren't so picky.
Here's another shot from the battle!

Just more proof: "One great Rock Show can change the world!"
Congrats, man. From the tunes I heard on the voting page, y'all really are better than the rest of them. Great to hear everyone nailed it on the live set.
