Today I was on my way to work when a group off men got on the train who i hope were headed to the comic book convention. They were in some interesting costumes with some fake weapons and odd hats. I took a glance at them and returned to my paper when one of them said, somewhat condecendingly, you probably don't even know who we are. I blurted out the first thing that popped into my head. "Of course I do. You're the un berkeley ables"

A couple older folks on the train just about choked trying not to laugh.

There are times in life where the planets align and one comes up with the perfect death-blow of a snap. This was one of those times.

I wish I could have been there to see it happen. I know I'd be laughing to the point of tears.

So who were they?

Geez Wally... you realize that right now they're sitting in a dingy room, ranting about how they were "persecuted" by some bastard on the train and how the "mundanes" don't get it. You might have even soured their D&D game. Be nice.

Or who knows, it might have been these guys.

Comic book convention? The cool kids go to Sci Fi Cons, and if i found one near me my costume would be passable in public if i cary the accesories in a bag. SG-1 means BDUs and an air soft P90

The wife says I have no room to talk since I go to a transit model convention. I guess next year I should go dressed like my favorite subway car.
