NPR said: Can you tell us what the beer choices for the summit might tell us about the quaffers? (For Obama: Bud Light, owned by Belgian beverage giant InBev; for Gates, Red Stripe, Jamaica-brewed and owned by premium drink behemoth Diageo; and for Crowley, Blue Moon, owned by MillerCoors.)
Why do so many news people have to exagerate a fake spanish accent to say her name? Some of the local news channels here stretch Sotomayor into three words with an "r" that rrrrrollls on for about a minute.

Even thought i now know the lyrics im still confused as to what it all means... Oh well i like that song, going to find it right now on my ipod.
Stipe has admitted to deliberately removing words from lyrics to make them more obtuse. They mean what you want them to mean, more or less.
Trivia: All the names have the initials LB, and Lenny Bruce is used twice.

Maybe an illusion but do i see 2 kinds of beer in those mugs hmmmmm a pilsner and a becks maybe ?
There were three kinds of beer.
Obama chose Bud Light
Gates chose Red Stripe
Crowley chose Blue Moon.
I'm not sure what Obama should have chosen. Pick anything good and you're likely to look like an elitist. Pick some average swill and you look like a beer noob. I'm not sure what the "right" choice would be... something american, obviously. Not super-mass produced, but not too obscure, either. Maybe a Fat Tire or something? Kick it old school with a Shlitz?
