Linkey

Yes, I know. I'm a sadistic shiny happy person for joking about a story in which three were killed. The story fails to tell you they were running at high speeds (if that's not obvious from the picture) from the police. If Metro wants you, they will continue to chase.

(EDIT: Removed other pics because people are more sensitive than me. (not a knock at anyone here, but apparently the truth.) Other pictures are at the linkey. None are gory.)

Ya see, kids. Don't run from the police. (ANOTHER EDIT BECAUSE THE POOR CRIMINALS RAN AND GOT KILLED IN THE PROCESS: They did a drive by on a house. Damn good reason for police to give chase in a city with such a high crime rate. I say any more and I'll get too political.)

Please use more descriptive title if you are going to post images like this.

It hits way to close to home for me as I was expecting something wimsical and hilarious and instead see pictures of an accident similar to the one that my father was killed in. He was hit by a car running from the st. Louis metro police during a high speed Chase. But hahaha death of people = hilarious joke you so funny!

Well, if your father was involved in that one he was in a concrete planter in midtown likely stealing copper

Fortunately no innocent bystanders or police were hurt.

What crime did the people in that car do to deserve their lives?

Not funny.

Shooting presumably to kill someone else.

Still collecting info. Shot up a house, ran from the police, as the weapon was visible. The weapon was recovered along the path they took.

Not trying to be insensitive, but its an unfair war. The criminals try to kill others and kill the police. This time the police gave chase and it cost the criminals (who were out for blood) their lives. The police weren't out for blood, but to put criminals behind bars.

Okay, I can see a shooting being worth the risk of a chase.

I still don't think the additional pics are warranted though, at least as a hotlink.

I remember the old non-PC driver-ed films/ pics from the dinosaur age. Yes, they were gruesome. Yes, they are forever etched in my brain. Yes, they made me a responsible driver and I believe to this day deter me from doing stoopid E36 M3 on the road.

The same education could/ should be said for firearms... be responsible for your weapons and shooting.... but hey... waitaberkeleyingoddamminit ... I ain't doin' drive-bys.

I live with a cop's daughter. Who works as a Detention Officer for the county where she grew up.

I'm asking that you re-read nocones' post..his dad wasn't the perp, his dad was killed when the perp struck the vehicle.

IMO, such a tragedy is actually a reason for lethal force when these things happen..but dude, what you said to nocones was pretty harsh.

Stay safe out there, man. I know it gets weird.

Oh, sorry nocones. I misunderstood that for sarcasm when you mentioned it was during a STLMPD chase. That's a rarity and an unfortunate effect of some chases.

I've witnessed one drive by at work with an AK47, (3 people struck) and have personally almost been hit (with bullets) by drivers shooting at each other while I was working. Not cool. The accident happened just a few miles from my work.

Friend of mine was killed while boating without a motor (bad 5 letter word) with her husband by a couple of retards shooting a .357 into the air three miles away. Bullet struck her in the top of the head killing her pretty much instantly. Kids need to see reality not pc huggy feely don't do this crap.

She was the most badass 67 year old woman I've ever met. Dropped a guy in gridlock (punch elbow knee combo, if witnesses are to be believed) traffic one day when he got out of his car yelling at someone else and decided to start taking out his frustrations on her car.(nor cal road rage)

There are two very good lessons in this thread.

  1. Don't be dumb with a weapon and then run from the cops.
  2. Tread softly and carry a big stick.

There are good points to what I posted, but I'm a blunt person and need to see things from the angle of others.

What goes up must come down. Mythbusters disproved that a direct shot up carries a velocity capable of killing someone, but who really shoots straight up. I've got quite a few friends who have been shot and survived. Really sucks, and when there is a chance to stop the madness, it has to be taken.

We've had some shootings just outside my work that we've had to respond to, but I've responded to more prostitutes and minor car crashes than shootings.

Friends and family members are cool. Sucks to lose the. I feel for the families of the car crash I posted on, but the guys running from the cops, I have a hard time feeling bad for.

Oh don't get me wrong, I agree running is stupid. But you have to sleep in the bed you make. I feel nothing but contempt for someone that feels the need to pull a driveby, and then run from the cops.

Heck if you're gonna shoot someone have the balls to face em and make sure you get the job done.

sometimes justice comes in the form of the mangled wreckage of a car. they did the right thing by running into those concrete things at a high rate of speed- not only are 3 worthless lowlife's no longer walking the streets, but the taxpayers don't have to pay to put them up for trial and then house them in a prison.

I don't see whats gruesome about that carnage.....then again, I've seen someone get dismembered in a motorcycle/car wreck.......so I guess I'm numb to just twisted steel.

I share nova's sentiment with this......unfortunately as taxpayers, we'll prolly be covering the sole survivor's medical expenses, 3 squares, a cot, and cable for the next decade at least........

It's not so much the gruesome as much as it's a lot of us read this forum at work or at home with the kids/SWMBO around. I know not to open the Hot Damn! thread or anything with NSFW or "carnage pics inside". A thread with a joke title shouldn't have them hotlinked is all. Although, in reality, a lot of people will be taken aback by photos like that, so they are probably best kept to links no matter.

Also impressive that the car was able to get up to such a speed.

Pretty straight street. You see all kinds of impressive speeds from those ghetto thugs. This guy had one block to get up to speed in order to cause this damage:

Its the control they lack.

His Homie said: Yo, Dawg! Thats my homie's car!
I said: Well go get your homie so I can talk to him about my fence.

Oddly enough his homie didn't come to talk to me, but now I have a fresh copy of The Pharmacists Handbook.
