It sounded like a cat. Did one wander into our backyard?
I had to get up and look.
Nope, no cat–but, instead, a snake eating a frog.
I guess I interrupted things. The frog got away, the snake took to the grass.

Both the snake and frog are going to go home and tell their friends two widely different stories.
I was just about to finish my dinner when some guy came out and interrupted me
Just as I thought my life was over, some guy just showed up and scared the snake away
It's not just Floridia, I had that same scenario play out on our breezeway here in CT last year.. The kids discovered it. That was fun..
I got new door sweeps!

Maybe frog screams sound like a cat in heat? I dunno.

What?! No pics?

I asked AI to make a picture of the scene and we got this. It's not exactly what I asked for but the frog seems to be having a good time so we got that.

Frogs are surprisingly loud. At a guess getting eaten probably makes them louder.
I have a pic on my old phone of a frog going head first down a snake's mouth. The frog has both his front legs around the snake's 'throat', trying to prevent that from happening.

Oh, that's brilliant! They even got a fair likeness of Mr. Wallens in the doorway.
Question: What's that brown pile on the right that resembles dog barf?
And why does the AI think the kid should be eating an Oreo?
Not to mention – now that I look at it again – balancing on one leg like that?

Exactly!
I'm going through my old laptop to see if I saved it on there right now.
