I know there are a ton of Whovians here on GRM.
What are your opinions on the series 7 mid season finale?
In my honest opinion, I have never felt so much emotion after a single episode of a television show.
Amy and Rory are the best companions ever, but Ten is still the best doctor. (this is the opinion of Maroon92, and he'll stand by it until his dying day.)
OK, now you have my interest perked. I'm a casual fan of the show, but haven't watched the last few weeks. I guess I will go back and watch it.

Honestly, until this episode, I was somewhat apathetic about series 7. The series started with a bang in "Asylum of the Daleks", but was seriously lacking for the following three episodes.
After the long story arc of series 5 and 6, I think they decided to go back to a few short 1 episode stories, and I can respect that, but it left me wanting more.
For a series of Doctor Who, however, there was not enough timey wimey, and not enough story. That was all corrected with this episode. You could probably skip from ep 1 to ep 5, and not have any problems. The three in between were a bit inconsequential.
Enjoy.
I saw the first one, and I saw the dinosaur ones. (interesting choice....did they end the ability to use silurians as opponents? i.r. was that the only silurian ark?)
didn't bother after that. I may give it a shot
I have been a bit disappointed by this season but I am two episodes behind.
WTF are you blokes going on about?

Remarkable. I had heard of the series of course, but was quite certain that it had ended its run many decades ago and had slipped into obscurity. Who knew?
I thought it was a great episode but I can't find myself emotionally attached to the characters. Of course I'm going to miss seeing the sexy redhead but with companions & doctors constantly changing I just don't get attached to them. You expect change with the show & I think that's why.
That and as a huge horror fan the angels scare me, Dalek's are puppies compared to them. Amazing character they created there.

What's really amazing is that something as scary as the weeping angels show up in something that is primarily pitched as young people's/kids' sci-fi.

How do you scare the unholy bejesus out of a Whovian? Park a human-sized, gnarly-mad, pissed off looking angel statue on their doormat in the middle of the night
bonus points if its heavy enough they need an engine hoist to move it

Only made better if there is an intermittent light switch flicker wired to the door opening.
