I enjoyed watching this, it made me think of 914Driver and his sail plane.

Our club has a Duo Discus, that's the two seater in the video; 45:1 glide ratio. Think about it, if you're 5,280 feet up (one mile) just coasting you will be 45 miles away.

General rule is, if you can see it, you can land it.

I love ridge soaring! It's almost a no brainer, just slide across the top for 100 miles in each direction.

This is Mifflin, Pa. You can get some altitude and hop over to the next ridge. The fifth ridge over goes to Alabama!
