It is funny how the car I'm in influences the music I listen to. My son even commented on it last night. He thinks its funny.
The Miata, it tends to be NPR or pop music stations. The truck, oldies hits I think. The Saab, classical. The Volvo, nothing typically, I just don't use the radio in that car.
I really noticed it the other week, when I was having some troubles with the Saab and the lack of a/c (now fixed). I found myself listening to NPR more, and surfing the rock stations. As soon as I got the a/c fixed, the classical music was back.
Last night when I took the boy out in the Saab, as soon as the music started he commented "classical, of course".
Are Bro-Dozers to blame for Bro-Country, or vice-versa?
I guess punk rock is what I'm going to be listening to in my future minivan.

No matter which vehicle I'm in these days, it's local WPRO talk radio. That's usually music to my ears.
It's true. The Buick and I are going to miss Yacht Rock when they take it off the air tonight.

When I bought my '05 Scion used, it had a cruddy aftermarket radio that died soon thereafter. I sourced a correct OEM radio on eBay and installed it.
When I got an iPhone, I decided I wanted a radio with an input for that, so I found a 2010 Scion OEM radio on eBay and did enough hacking to make it work.
Not long after that, I decided I was sick of listening to music (and the endless pledge drives on NPR) and turned the radio off. It hasn't been on since.
Driving time is now quiet thinking time. That suits me better.
EDM and Vocal Trance on the Motorcycle. I listen to anything in all my other vehicles.
I rarely listen to anything in the MPV, although lately I've been listening to NPR. Can't seem to tune the classical station I used to get, but it was over in Williamsburg, so I was on their western fringe anyway. Led Zep's Houses of the Holy is in the DVD player.
I don't know if the radio works in the truck or not. Last time I turned it on, maybe three years ago, all I got was static.
No radio but still get sweet tunes in the RX-7 of course. The symphony of straight-thru turbo rotary exhaust, mellowed ever-so-slightly by a Borla XR-1 muffler is a soundtrack I never get tired of listening to!

Stock ride height, truck nutz are for Florida Georgia Line and Luke Bryan fans.
The FR-S has made me listen to techno more. Quite a bit from Moog of Mighty Car Mods fame.
My Trans Am will not leave the driveway without Dokken, Ratt, or Whitesnake blasting out the 6x9's. It's a rule... and dictated by the car, not me. It won't run right without it! And no Panama by Van Halen; parts fall off every time that song comes on.
I don't think the car I'm in influences the music I'm listening to. But I enjoy wondering what people think when I drive the old BMW through town with the windows down and loud Johnny Cash coming out of the speakers.

Something makes me smile about rolling into the daycare parking lot in my late model grand cherokee with slipknot blaring.
I always have a giggle when I put on EDM or rap in my 40 year old minitruck. Almost feels a little blasphemous
I've gotten some weird looks when other Evo owners hear me listening to NPR. Less so when I'm listening to metal. Seemed to be the other way around when I drove the Alfa 164.
I listen to nothing but booming nasty wind noise in my helmet.

Earplugs will help with that. Much improved riding experience once I started using ear plugs. I was very concerned that they would make me less safe, so I started out on early morning weekend rides on back roads when there wouldn't be much traffic until I figured out that I can still hear what I need to, but the fatiguing and potentially damaging wind noise is mostly blocked out. I ordered a box of 30 or 50 pairs of 33 dB squishy foam plugs initially (probably $30 on Amazon) and then went with custom molded plugs.

Funny, I test drove a Lexus LS430 today that had a few smooth jazz CDs in the changer.

I can't do music on the bike. For some reason it causes me to push harder than I should. Might be the choice of music on my MP3 player...

I wear earplugs.

Are you sure the booming nasty noise is wind? I hear loud pipes on certain makes can be rather annoying...
Or it could be your helmet. Wish there was a good website with helmet reviews. Webbikeworld was the schnizzle and then seemed to quit bothering.
It's the helmet. I can't even hear the exhaust above 35. I tried to listen to music one time but had to turn it all the way up just so I could barely hear it, then sitting at red lights it was so loud I thought I was going to go deaf. The ear plugs make it tolerable but it's still very boomy in there.
