I really didnt notice how long it was.

I didn't either and I'm usually the one complaining about loooooong movies. I think I may try and get over to World of Golf Village and see it again on the IMAX before it leaves. The director said he is considering filming the next one entirely in IMAX.

With the way they've done the villans so far they can take penguine and the riddler and make them realistic dark phychos too. you don't need penguin to be flipper handed and fat. Catwoman... not sure, I get annoyed with that stuff. I want to see whoopins and explosions.

We really wanted to go up there and see it as well, but all the Sunday shows were sold out so we went to Ormond. Honestly, though, I hate that theater. Most uncomfortable seats I've ever sat in. They feel like they were designed for 20 minute lectures, not 3-hour movies. You really get the feeling that they never anticipated showing "real" movies there, just the quick docu-shorts that were the main staple of IMAX theaters.

What really blows is that there's an IMAX theater at Daytona USA but all they show is some hillbilly crap over and over. Waste of good facilities if you ask me.

I've won tickets through a local radio station, but they're not valid for use for another week. I so want to pay and see it now, but I don't have the extra scratch.

Would love to see this director do "The Dark Knight Returns" Frank Miller graphic novel about Batman when he gets old as a sequel later. 10 years ago, Brian Dennehy would have carried it off... in a few more, I could concievably see Bruce Willis doing it.

Haven't seen the movie yet, but Harvey Dent was in the Dark Knight which assumes that he should be in the next movie as Two-Face.

Although now that Dark Knight is out I wonder how much my Dark Knight comic book #1 will go for now? it's been in a comic book pouch since it came out back in the 80s :)

just got back from the movie. This is hard to not let out spoilers. As for a new "Ms. Daws" she looked 10 years older than katie holms, and far less anoying.

For a sequel villan, i don't see 2face being the main bad guy, just not full story potential. About a year ago, i heard rumers that the Penguin was going to be a russian arms dealer. With how the mafia is just as big as the super villians, this could work out very well. Cat woman would work as a secondary villan, but no cat and penguin in the same movie again, please. With how dark these movies are, Bane would be a perfect fit for the next one.

I saw it last weekend with my girlfriend. We loved it, but I think we both agreed that the hype was a bit too much. The movie was great, and so was Aaron Eckhart (Two-face) and Ledger. Perhaps my favorite part of the movie was when he did his pencil-disappearing magic trick.

On that note, I think this is why we didn't enjoy the movie as much as we thought we would. The Joker was barely in the movie at all! Basically, they show almost all of his speaking lines in the friggin' previews. You go, and you're like, "WTF, Mate? I've seen all this already!" --- OK, I'll admit; there was nothing more awesome than his hospital scene - especially when he was leaving.

See the damn movie.

I saw the movie today and thoroughly enjoyed it. Heath Ledger really stole the show as the Joker. I read that Ledger even turned a little bit crazy during shooting the film, staying in character for abnormally long periods of time and such. If that's what it took to perfect the role, it certainly worked.

Agreed. Those two parts were my absolute favorites. I wish he was still around to play the role in the next movie. I think Penguin and Bane would be good for the next movie, especially since Bane was the one that broke Batman in half in one of the comic series. I don't think they'd have a problem making either of them believable or creepy. They made Joker and the Scarecrow both pretty creepy.

I saw the movie and was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. After the hype I thought it couldn't be good, but it was.

The joker was hardly in the movie? HUH? He was there quite a lot. I didn't appreciate the lead girl, but I'm not a great fan of hers. She just gets uglier as she gets older. Sexy or slinky she's not.

I was glad for the warnings about length so I made sure to not drink a drink and to go to the bathroom during the previews. Which is good because there wasn't a spot I'd have been able to leave.

The car chase scenes were phenomenal!

I want to see the movie again just for them.

I have not been a fan of the majority of the comic book movies as they have been done too tongue in cheek and not just straightforward like the comics I grew up with, but this was the exception.

It wasn't too long, might have cut maybe 10 minutes out of the movie, but no more. Actually there are a few spots I might have added more than the 10 minutes I cut.

I agree. The movie pretty much completely revolved around him.

Second, My favoriet preview was "Quantum of Solice" Has any one else noticed how both of these franchises have both gone much darker than previous incarnations. Is this part of a wider trend? Plus the fact that both have started over from the begining with their respective rebirths.

I think the Academy has already decided.

Saw the movie last Friday with my FIL. Highly disappointed with the "IMAX" theater in Cincy. The screen barely seemed larger than a standard screen and while it did curve a little the seating was standard theater seating and I was expecting typical IMAX steep seating. I was pissed I paid a premium to see it in IMAX, especially when I didn't get to see any cool previews.

That said, as disappointing as the theater was the movie was excellent. 2.5 hours was pushing it a bit - how many plot twists do you need really - but overall the best Batman movie to date, no question.

Further increasing the awesomeness of this movie is the fact that the BatPod (Bat Cycle) was a real functioning "motorcycle", driven by a stuntman.

As was/is the Tumbler from Batman Begins and this movie. Well functional in that they used like 6 different versions to get all the shots but that's pretty typical Hollywood for any car with close ups and action scenes.

I can't imagine how badly that BatPod thing must have handled, at least when trying to turn with those monster meats!

Oh, not doubt it's not truly functional, in the sense that you or I could ride it down to Sonics for a burger. I'm just glad they built it and didn't rely 100% on CG.

at least it is more plausible than any previous "bat vehicles"
