Well I took The Dude to school today, I had some requests for him to come by before the end of term. The Dude is a stud, only 10 weeks or so old and already picking up college chicks...

Nothing attracts women faster than a puppy.
I'm glad to see that he is officially being referred to as "The Dude."
The Dude abides.
"Hi, I offer you a choice. You play with my dog, I take your picture. Sound good?"
Did you ask her out?

She is in my class, actually planning on asking her tomorrow. She had no problems with the camera, I shot a few shots of her with the pup, but then she knows I always have a camera with me.
The elk must be to scared to come near him havn't seen any around

Actually today I made a comment about her coming out to the truck and petting something short and furry (she got it, her friend had a shocked look on her face)
Haha, damn dude, I think you've started a 3 step program for me:
1) Move out 2) Buy dog 3) Get girls
Only that would also come with:
4) Explain to GF why girl are calling me about a puppy 5) Only being able to use a puppy for a year or so
[Hannibal Lechter] quid pro quo, clarice. you played with my puppy..... [/Hannibal]
oh, and to PHeller, every six months you trade for a younger model. it's easy to get rid of a housebroken 6MO pup.
side note: i'm totally jealous of your weather. it's high 20's and snowing here in tha D.
That's the funny thing about ACD puppies. So damned cute and fun when they're young. No one realizes that those dogs are piranha's in fur coats! You've had one so you know.
Disclaimer - with consistent training they grow out of the piranha traits they're born with. While raising mine "no!" was every second word out of mouth.
Corvair don't be to jealous it was a high of about 35 degrees yesterday (when that picture was taken) and its high 20's right now.
Xceler8x You are so right about the piranha comparison on cattle dog pups, this one completely is (just like all of them) I had a perfect picture showing that fact with one of my old pup, his head was all tilted back looking up at me, he ears were all flopped back, loads of red eye and all those little needle teeth were exposed.

I think I've found a business model...
I get a constant stream of puppies and girls, somebody gets a housebroken puppy.
well I'm glad I could help with your new business model, hope it works out for you
I was actually asked today to bring him back next tuesday as a "reward" for completing our biology final.

Sure I'll post some more this weekend after I take a few more good ones of him. The way its looking we might get some first snow pics with him this weekend if it goes the way its going right now.
One of my friends suggested setting up either a myspace or blog for him as everyone seems to want to keep tabs on how he is doing and all.
An ex-girlfriend had a ACD. That dog lived to play tug-of-war with a rope. He was on a horse farm, so he had plenty of room to run. And he ran and ran and ran. He was fat, but he had a lot of energy. That dog was cool. The girlfriend, not so much.
Here you go Mojo a couple shots taken of the Dude just now when I took him outside
And the piranha effect in action
OMG! All I can say is you better chip or tattoo tht dog like pronto 'cause I'm going to come steal him myself.
You'll need to log in to post.
