Can't wait to see that thing smack a wall in the first corner.

Every time I see something like this I despair of the future of humanity. Notice that the tire beads are not on the safety hump. Great.

There was a vid floating around a while back showing some Japanese guy with an Elvis 'do mounting skinny 13" tires on wide rims, wish I could find it.

I have to wonder what would happen if he tried. While I'm pretty sure the wheels would pop right off the rims if you put any side load on there, what I'm wondering about is whether that would kill stretch and poke for good, or simply create a new sport where the objective is to separate your tires from your car as spectacularly as possible.

High chance of curb rash in those wheels' future...

I like it. It's certainly not my flavor but it's cool that he's not just bolting on E36 M3, and is actually fabricating.

I wonder if the fact that the paint color and duct tape are the same is intentional?

I laughed so hard the first time I saw that car in person that I actually had to pull over and park.

what the berkeley is all that E36 M3 back there? lol.
I'm assuming that guy is serious about this car, and that really scares me.

Well, it was twin turbo, running into twin Roots blowers, with nitrous, on a 350. All that mess drawing through a single Dominator.

IIRC,m the one time it ran down a dragstrip, it ran 13.9.

But he had about 2000 hours of polishing the stainless-steel rollcage.

(fun fact: he chose the car and the tires because he wanted the widest tires in the narrowest car. The axles were 9" long and the rearend was solid mounted because there was no room for suspension)

He eventually added a rear suspension of sorts, as I recall it was a single valve spring sitting over the center of the differential.

It was either he was gonna plan to drift it or do time attacks with it. Its the only two logical steps to motorsports for stancetards. I am just wonder what energy drink sticker he is gonna go with on the side of that ridiculously stupid berkeleying pile metal on wheels with a side of tires. Man, I can't wait for the trend to be over. Its like mullets and the 80s, alot of people had them, just about everyone is embarrassed to admit if they did have one. Its gonna happen with this E36 M3 in 15 years... guaranteed.
