An acquaintance of ours was complaining on Facebook this evening about the Mexicans down at the unemployment office getting their checks while she was there getting hers.
Then she said English is the official language of the United States and she expects everyone to speak English when she walks out the door in the morning.

I love this one. It is probably the most prevalent automotive opinion on the interweb

I thought this was the dumbest thing on the interweb thread, not the berking coolest thing.
The banning of E85 in ST class autocross.

Bwaaah?!?! The SCCA did something dumb, again?!?
(All kidding aside that is an idiotic rule. E85 is pretty common!)

I AM SHOCKED AND AMAZED, SIR.

NASA needs a national autocross program.

Ugh. No thank you. Points systems can DIAF.
There needs to be a happy medium. I have surprisingly few beefs with the SCCA Solo program besides just a couple really dumb unnecessary rules. I just hate their rulebook.
In reply to Swank Force One:
I didn't say it needed to be based on their road racing system
The SCCA rulebook is more like a government manual, but their classing structure also needs a complete "reboot". The ST category, STF/SMF, STR, and now RTF growths are at least showing them that it can be done, and quickly. I'm quietly optimistic (though obviously not building a car for it again...)

I guess i just ASSumed that their autocross classing system was points as well.

I didn't even think they had an autocross system yet!

I dunno lol. I guess the way i read what you typed was "They have a good autocross system which is way better than SCCA's, which is why i'm typing this, i just wish they would go national with it."
Color me stupid! (Well... at least definitely uninformed on the subject of NASA. )
In reply to Swank Force One:
That's why you should read what's actually on the screen, and not what you think it says!
I went to NASA and not only do they have lots of non-points-classification road racing classes, they actually have an AX program! Unfortunately, it is a really baroque classification system The basic rules are only 6 pages though, and rule 2 is everyone gets at least 4 runs. Nice!
Teehee!
Only 4 run minimum? Well that's balls.

We do 8-10 runs in the PCA, but have been as low as 6 if the course is really long (like 100 seconds plus).
I still like the PCA's rules best. "Is it a Porsche? No? Then Non-Porsche for you. Next!!"

I don't actually autocross. I just post on the internet about it.
Today's quotes brought to you by ForteForums!
I have been looking to duel my exhaust and get a good deep perr out of it. Has anyone found something out there?
That's true if you get turbo later you will be stage II already!
^ in reference to a 3" exhaust on a 2.0L NA Forte auto.
I don't feel a MPG gain with it. For some reason, I think it could just be 'better'.
How does one "feel" a mpg gain?
In reply to Bobzilla:
Holy crap, that's just, I mean, I don't even... no words.
