I'm an opinionated Jeeper, so you must suffer through my opinionated-ness.
First off, those wheels and tires are horrid! The rear bumper was designed up-side-down (if the larger bevel was face-down the departure angle would be better), and on. But what really gets me, not Jeep related, is when you list a long list of mods done to a car then tell me that you've restored it. That is NOT restored.
Ok, my pulse has gone down to a safe level and my panties are un-bunched.
I would say the front us upside down too

That thing has done a E36 M3pile of burnouts. Those knobbies are BALD.
As someone who knows almost nothing about jeeps, it looks stupid. Stupid fun, that is! 5speed 390 hp Wrangler; that's like a lifted Monster Miata.

Maybe fun 'till you have to turn or stop. Short wheel base, high center of gravity and those tires? It can't wheel very well with those tires (never known for actually working well off road, just look good in a show and shine), nor will it grip on the street.
And yeah, the front bumper looks stoopid too. But, at least it's been 'restored'.
The bumper looks stupid. The wheels look stupid.
I have mounted up several 20x9 wheels with 35x12.50x20s, and many of those on Jeeps. I rarely mount any up that I like. 20" wheels with 35" Mud Terrains scream out mall crawler to me every time I see them. I think Jeeps look better and are more functional with a smaller diameter wheel with a 35" M/T.
But hey, everyone calls me a hater at work... hence the signature.
So here's the run down.
- CJ grill on YJ tub = lame
- 8.8 Ford Rear = Good
- Traction bars = real lame
- Spring Over = Good
- High Steer = Good
- Hemi + nv4500 + 241Hd case = Pretty damn good
- Dana 30 front + 300 hp v8 + big reduction gears = broken
- Mall crawler wheels + dumb bumpers + no spare = Mall crawling lameo rig
- Over all = "Nice Truck bro. Can we totally kiss in a hetero and meaningful way while our flat bill caps rub?"
sarcasm aside; There are some nice bits in this rig, but very poorly executed.

Someone at the apartment where I used to live had those exact same wheels (possibly tires too?) on a newer 4 door wrangler. It was jacked up, had bro-stickers on the side of the hood, etc... It almost looked like he tire-shined in between the tire tread. My RX8 got dirtier than his jeep just sitting in my garage
I do not feel so bad about the stock 18s on my Disco now

I tried that once to keep the tires from turning into clay slicks at a muddy rallycross, after noting that new tires don't seem to pack up as quickly or at all until you wash the mold release compound off.
It didn't work.

Exactly. All that money put into it, and it needs a few thousand to make it right, to un-do what he did.

I don't hate it as much as I want to. The early hood/grill conversion is interesting... I've never seen one before, but I don't hang in Jeep circles. Are there things I'd change? Yes, of course. But such is personalized vehicles. The guy built what he wanted. It looks like he spent a fair amount of money on it.
Are those wheels part of a 'Build your own bro-dozer' kit? I've never seen them on anything other than a pavement pounding mall crawler.

Highly quotageous.
The lols are strong with this one
I just put some Black Rhino 20x12" wheels with Toyo Open Country M/T 35x12.50x20 tires on a Jeep today. We usually do 20x10" wheels with those tires but I think it looks good like this(for a 20" wheel).
I know, I know, you guys probably hate the tire shine but they make me do it.

Next time, don't half-ass it...get the tread too.

Price hasn't gone up at all. It seems like this guy isn't getting the $20k he wanted. It seems like the best course of action is to build a car with mass appeal and sell it, or build what you want and keep it. Seems like building what only you want and expecting a lot of cash for it makes for a lot of lost cash and effort.

In reply to DrBoost:
Yeah, I might have gotten a little inside as well.
If you look close, you can see where it was pouring out of the HVAC system.
It took hours to clean that mess up.
Now those are Jeeps I can respect, the bullE36 M3 I have to mess with is annoying.
Although, I did mess with a Jeep today that I refused to put tire shine on because I knew he uses his Jeep. He had his old dog hanging out in the back while I had it on the lift.
