I managed to talk my customer into proceeding with their project this week. That means I am gainfully employed for at least 6-8 more months. It also means I saved 6 other people's jobs.

I got home this week after a week on the road and found my company had sent me a generous bonus check for my work in 2019.

That was really nice!

I will finish my seventh year with my employer April 10th. I was planning to stay for one year, and get out, since I couldn't imagine being happy working for a big corporation.

The first couple of years were indeed rough, but I'm really lucky I stuck it out. I'm really glad to be there, and they just gave me an extra two weeks of PTO so I can stay out of the office.

My commissions jumped up this week - almost $3000 higher than last month!  Praise the Lord and pass the biscuits.

I've lost a bit, too, but I've actually been hitting the treadmill and/or walking outside pretty much every day. The current situation has made my lack of cardiovascular fitness seem a lot more important to me!

It's not luck.

It's that I'm tired of the crap, and I am trying to be very intentional about paying attention to the good things.

There's plenty of stuff I could complain about.

So, good news!  You don't have to listen to me whining!!

My uncle who has bone cancer just got accepted into the rehab he wanted and he's in super good spirits.

I'm kicking ass on house projects.

If unemployment comes through at the 100% proposed payout, plus the additional $600 from the gubmint, I'll be getting 200% of my previous income for doing 100% less work.

I have great friends

I just cleaned my house today, blew the leaves, and decided to start a campfire in the back yard.

Life is good.

My job is having me work from home, and the workload has been light with all the places on shutdown. That means I can set up my laptop up in the garage and spend the bulk of my day getting paid to piddle around on my projects while doing an occasional quote or order.

I've been saving for a rainy day for a long time, even at work. And with all this "rain" we're having, it's making me mighty thankful to have that rainy day fund.
