I went fishing with Allen as a kid until I was in my 20s. My Dad used to charter his boat a few times a year to take his employees out fishing as a reward for hard work. One of the few times my grandmothers ever got along was on a fishing trip on Allen's boat. The weather was great, seas were calm and the fish were plentiful.
Dad and I had talked about doing another fishing trip and had even tried to plan a date. Our only choice for captain was going to be Allen. I know that nobody can truly know what lead him to take his own life, but I know it won't be the same knowing I can't go fishing with him again.
