Spent the money I was saving for a C5 ZO6 on a new Kubota tractor.
Grinning the entire time I was writing the check.
Also taught SWMBO how to drive our 1953 Ford Golden Jubilee. She took to it like a duck to water!

I got involved at basically the ground floor of VCU's Formula SAE team! mainly as sort of rotating help (I think I'll be floating between the various teams (drivetrain, suspension, wiring, etc...) helping out wherever is necessary/I can) but hey, for a kid working on an engineering AS at the community college down the road, I'll take it!

Congrats! My first ever job on RIT's FSAE team was cleaning the oil cooler. It went down hill from there as I became brake group leader, lead CNC, and fab. group leader And I've been racing since.
I drove the 911 to work this morning which is always
Then I got to drive my bosses brand new (less than 1000 miles) Mazda MX-5 Clubsport. What a neat car. Its not a throw you in the back of the seat car, but man can you have some fun on regular roads and not bring attention to yourself car.
And I'm off all next week.
Worked the last three weeks straight w/ some 12's thrown in. berkeleyin' right I'm in a damn good mood... about time.

Ohya Its Friday!
I am in a phenomenal mood today (and for the last little while, actually).
Last month I got to cover the Monterey Historics.
Last week I went to the Porsche 912 Rendezvous in gorgeous Carmel, CA.
This weekend I'm going to COTA. (See ya there, Paul!)
Next weekend I'm flying back to Ohio to finish packing the apartment and see my girlfriend for the first time in 2 months. (Oh yeah, I moved to Reno, NV a couple months ago).
That following Monday I fly to Oregon for the launch of the facelifted Panamera.
From there I fly to Grand Rapids, MI for my best friend's wedding, meeting the girlfriend at the wedding with the car.
We're taking the week after that to make the drive out to our new home in lovely Sparks, NV.
A week after I get back, I might be going to this. ::fingers crossed::
Oh, and I'm back on the forum for the first time in about 3 months.

Dude!? Sparks? Did you change jobs again? Kudos on the article covers! (And whereabouts in Oregon for the Panamera?)

Same company, new job. I am now in the NLA office of Stoddard NLA. It was kind of a lateral move, but with better weather.

Also, I'm flying into Portland, but I'm not sure where the Pana event is taking place. It's a 3 dayer.
70+ hours of week in Indiana, getting on a plane in 2 hours and heading back. HOME.
Quick three days in then a week of vacation that I really need.
Rallycross tomorrow in Texas.
Rallycross next weekend in Loiusiana.
Rallycross nationals the weekend after that in Oklahoma.
How could I not be happy about that?

I won't have a car, but sure?
In reply to Maroon92:
You're being sent to a Porsche launch and nobody got you a car? Pfft, borrow whatshisfaces 924, he doesn't want it anymore anyway.
UPS guy brought a mystery box. What the hell did I order? The trim parts for the wagon are here already? berkeleying-a! And they're all there! I'm dancing another jig!
In reply to Javelin:
Doubt he'd like it.
and Its not that I don't want it, its that I need to get rid of one of the two cars here and NO ONE WANTS THE berkeleyING SHELBY, so to try and forestall the coming argument, the 924 may need to go :(
