How much for the Shelby?
In reply to Maroon92:
No, it's horrendously slow (tuning is off), and hot and gets crappy mileage (9.5mpg).
I'm headed to Seattle tonight, but I'll be Portland tomorrow evening if you have any time to grab a beer/food.
Local Ford dealer was having a drive for your school event today. Go in take a quick survey and a test drive and they give $20 to the local high school.
So the wife and I head down to take a test drive. They have one V8 Mustang left on the lot it is a GT with a 6 speed and the track pack. The route we took had a nice tight S with an off camber drop. I made the sale woman grab for the handle lol.
SWMBO said later the Mustang was nice but she likes the look of the Challenger better. Which also now comes with a 6 speed. She then proposed we forego buying Christmas presents this year and our up coming birthdays and put that money to getting a new car next year and trade in the Taurus.
I love my wife. It was a good day.
Two really good friends got married last night, and I spent the evening with her. Of course I'm in a good mood.
Just got back from COTA. Porsche team has already reserved me for Road Atlanta because of my work efforts this last week/end. Also spoke with the owner of the Audi team at COTA as his car was on display in the tent. He is "GO" for Houston in World Challenge.
Just got a verbal offer for a job doing more of what I like and a 35% pay increase.
I certainly feel like I'm winning a lot lately.

It's ALWAYS a party at my place.
Worked on the Alfa this morning again!!!
(hey, I got a wife, school, work, and a toddler. Two days of garage time in a row is like getting hit by lighting twice on the same day)
Rallycross nationals in Tulsa this weekend and my wife is on board with trying to figure out how to order the Callaway Aerowagon. And I finished painting the rest of the brackets and such for the wagon so I can put it back together next week!
Got that raise after 15yrs after all, just a month late (I blame our German visitors). Hopefully going to a pumpkin farm tomorrow with SWMBO for pumpkins and pumpkin donuts. Speed shop grand opening tomorrow afternoon in the MR2. Sunday me and a fellow GRM'er will unmount 7 crappy tires off the MR2 OEM wheels I bought recently so I can replace with rally tires.
Yup, pretty good mood today.
I no longer work weekends or graveyard shift. My time is free. I get to sleep the hours I want to. I get to spend time with the fiancee.

Basil Fawlty: Is there something wrong?
German Guest: Will you stop talking about the war?
Basil Fawlty: Me? You started it.
German Guest: We did not!
Basil Fawlty: Yes, you did. You invaded Poland.
I have 2 potential employers interested in me, both with significant pay increases. I just got back from a 2nd interview with one of them.
Got the Impala back from the body shop (had a huge dent in the front bumper from last winter). As luck would have it, today was warm enough to roll all four windows down.
4-door hardtop baby aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh yeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh.
Saw one of my HID headlights not working coming home yesterday, couldn't check until just now. Popped the hood to swap bulbs around to test the ballasts and saw a loose connection.
