The joys of owning a Volvo. It blew another windshield wiper fuse. Had to run to the store and replace it before the rain came. Ironically once I fixed it it never rained lol.

Now back to fixing all the other electrical issues lol.

Wait, you drive an old car and don't carry spares? You know the car is guaranteed to break down if you don't carry spares, right? I DD a 30 year old car, and I've never needed any spares simply because I have them in the car.

Must be a lemon. My old Volvo never had any electrical issues. Well, not that I remember.

Funny. Friend texted me that she had to pull the fuse for hers because they wouldn't turn OFF.

I had a DSM that kept cooking fuses. Turns out due to the stupid spoiler design, water had gotten into the rear wiper housing, the rear motor had shorted and was eating fuses. Once I disconnected the rear wiper, life was good. Before that, Rain-X was my homeboy.

Ooooh, electrical issues with Volvos, I remember that with my 855T. Anyone ever busted their horn contacts in the steering wheel? I had to pull over and go unplug the horns to get the car to shut up. IPD even sold upgraded kits for that problem. Lol

We have a hose saw at work. 230v motor gave out and shop guy said to order a new $750.00 Grainger motor. They hook up and have the same issue.

I then get sent to store to bring back $6 worth of fuses. All good.

I'm going to guess loose/bad ground on circuit #2, possibly on the horn or someplace that gets wet when it rains.

Yup Morphy's law, in my DD I prefer to carry two spare tires, coolant, a fire extinguisher and fuses at minimum. Because of this, I have blown only one tire, never had a catastrophic cooling system failure, never had a fire, and my biggest electrical problem was pennies kept falling in my sunfires cigarette lighter and blowing the stupid combo horn/cig/obd fuse.

I thought that was the law of talismans. If ye carry with you that which is expected to be needed, it will not be needed, tho if ye leave it at home, yer gonna need it.

When I had a 240 wagon, the only thing ever wrong was deteriorating wiring.

My wife complained once that when you honked the horn, the rear wiper would turn on once. Too funny.

I had a Nissan 200 SX that I knocked a dime into the cig lighter and shorted some crap out as I was driving and trying to light a cig.

I have the fuse to the power locks pulled on my Ram, because it would lock the doors the second it cranked over and I got locked out one time too many.
