SWMBO rolls her eyes and shakes her head when I flip the light switch off and proclaim, "Embargo on!"
She made it through Road Warrior & Beyond Thunder Dome, don't think she's seen Mad Max though, I need to fix that. If I'm lucky I can get her to go see the new one with me.
Beyond thunderdome was not my favorite, but the first two movies are way up there on my "Awesome" list.
"It's got a cracked timing case cover. Chipped a couple of teeth off the timimg gear. The radiator's damaged at the core. It's got a cracked water pump, and a fractured injector line."
one of the villains has a bane mask. Should of been Tom Hardy's role. I need more hilarious Sean Connery impersonator villains.

The main baddie is played by Hugh Keyes-Byrne, the guy who played The Toecutter in the original Mad Max.
It is by the original director which is very nice.
Looks like they are avoiding the wildly over the top CGI stunt crap that is polluting most action movies these days.
Almost seems like it re-hashes some of the themes and scenes of the originals though. It's not a re-make right?

The best part of that scene was how the relay of time suddenly doubled as it was relayed, then he tells them they have half the time...
... "Oookaay".
Not so sure about Charlize (wasn't Zoe Saldana available?) but Tom Hardy should rock the role. I can't hate on Thunderdome, either. Tina Turner was so cool in it. "Hellloo, little man!"
We need more Mad Max cars at the $2000 Challenge. There, I said it.
And, JG, go here: http://madmaxcars.blogspot.com
