I am sad to see the interceptor destroyed yet again. It is one of my all time favorite movie cars.

That being said I can't wait to see the movie.

It looks more like a video game trailer than a movie trailer. So much CGI.

That trailer does not look promising to me at all. Not sure who Tom Hardy was until I just looked him up on IMDB. I wish Hollywood took more gambles with new stuff instead of taking the safe route with endless sequels, prequels, reboots etc. This is only slightly more exciting news than the 17th Spider Man movie or the 20th Batman movie to me. When it is on Netflix or Amazon for free some day, I'll check it out.

+1. Saturday Night Live should invite Tom Hardy to guest-host, then do "Celebrity Jeopardy" with Hardy as Sean Connery. "So...you've come back to die with your city, Trebek!"

I'd swear I remember reading some years ago when they started this the director wanted to use as little CGI as possible and use real vehicles and stunts.

They might have deviated from that initial plan...

I think you've become so accustomed to looking for CGI that you're seeing actual practical stunts as CGI...

The lizard and the weather are about it for CGI in the trailer, Where are you seeing "so much CGI?"

Yeah, to me, it looked like actual cars / stunts with CGI effects added for backgrounds, atmosphere and such. Nothing like FF6.

There look to be a few enhanced explosions, but most of the vehicle stunts look to be pretty realistic. If they stick with that mix, I'll be happy. If people start driving sideways on cliffs or running 30' up a wall I'll be seriously disappointed. CGI to enhance the movie, good. CGI to give everyone and everything superpowers, bad, unless you are making the 93rd remake of Superman.

Oh, and leave the shaky camera crap with the amateurs, where it belongs.

OH MY YES.

This looks pretty much like a modern take on The Road Warrior, and that was the best of the original three. I will have my butt in a seat watching this on opening night.

Everything looks very "enhanced" and glossy to me. I mean, even that opening sequence at the :25 mark looks very enhanced to me. Again, it looks like I'm viewing a well-made videogame. Maybe it's just me. (shrug)

The digital cameras allow for a LOT of post processing options that are easy to do (e.g. the yellow and blue color shifts).

It will be a sad day when they have to "enhance" actual stunts to look more like the CGI stunts everyone is used to. Maybe this is a hint of that.

It's pretty much you. You're seeing photography filters to modify the color and mood, just like in this shot:

it's not CGI, but standard filter types to enhance the look and mood of the shot. With digital photgraphy, it can be done post processing, but it's still not actually "CGI."

And of course, the movie is shot in 3D, so the 2D version will look a bit enhanced due to the way 3D translates to 2D.
