Who's watching? I just watched the season finale.
Damn.
I've enjoyed it. While way too "rah rah 'merica" for me, the acting is spot on and its fairly apparent the literal navy sized sponsorship/budget of the series helps.
Its good. I don't mind he-man macho marine shoot em ups if they are done well. Ms. Doctor is fiiiiiiiine.
I've been watching it primarily because Adam Baldwin is in it and he's usually entertaining. It was also interesting to see the same guy who played the buttoned-down, scheming lawyer character of Jack Soloft from Suits as Tex.
I like a good dystopian post-apocolyptic story and the writing hasn't been bad, but I'm not sure how many more seasons they'll be able to crank out. Then again, Gillian and the skipper were trapped on that island for how long?
In reply to HiTempguy:
Well then don't watch a show about the United States Navy
Anyways, I'm surprised with Michael Bay as a producer, there's not an explosion every 5 seconds.
The Navy kind of needs the boost in "advertising", the Army and Marines usually get the most attention out of the Armed Forces, but the Navy is an important force to have.
I got rid of that channel before the season premier, so I missed the second season. I liked the first, so I may have to find a way to get it.
Being a former submariner, I can't fathom how any surface ship (aka target) could be the last anything without a few additional nuclear subs around. It completely ruins the show for me, I just shout at the screen.

I read that the Navy loves this show and provides support for it as well.

So it would seem that you only watch shows that are completely realistic then. I bet you don't watch much TV.

I see what you did there.

Do you have stories you can share?
Mrs Aussie and I enjoy it, fun escape for an hour but it will run out of story soon IMHO.
Please don't jump the shark.

Well.......the show is about a plague that wipes out most of the population of Earth. It probably has been thought of and the show hasn't ended yet.

Especially when they actually seem to have forgotten that they have one of these:
"Sonar's out. Should we launch the helo?"
"I have a better idea. Get me a snorkel, some goggles, and a set of binoculars."
