my daughter, age 8-1/2, and i were rasslin' around on the floor the other day. when she tackled me i rolled onto my back and went to pull guard. she did some E36 M3 i never taught her and ended up not only in side control, but she berkeleying arm-bar'd me. i had to tap! i don't think i've ever been more proud, but i would like to know where she learned that move.
Surprised me by coming home and cleaning the kitchen.
Oh wait, that was either my wife or a blissful dream......
My boys 8 and 10 regularly try to take me down. Maybe having the eldest in Tae Kwon Doe isn't the best idea.
My 8 month old grabbed for a toy racecar instead of a little rattle monkey.
.....hearing from the son that he got a 34% grade on his final exam for some "mechanics chemistry something" high level grad school class and a 64% grade for the entire class which grades on a curve and nets him a final grade of a B+. good luck wrapping your head around that.

When she was 5, DD#1 looked me right in the eye one morning and told me to "Just make the berkeleying sandwiches!"

Mine pooped on the potty chair....
....doing a berkeleying AWESOME job watching her first movie at the theater. Putting together a 60 piece puzzle by herself (at 2.5 years old,) and rather than getting upset when daddy failed at "THE CLAW," she said "It's ok. We already have Halloween Kitty and the Blue Elephant (rescued by the claw) at home." This all happened today. Proud daddy is proud...and wishing he didn't have to go back to work.
...regularly sending me Star Wars memes. She's also absconded with my complete SW DVD set.
Last year my son (9 at the time) got tokens in class for being good. You could use the tokens to buy things out of the teacher's treasure box once a week. The kid with the most tokens always got to go first and there was always something in short supply. My son saved up his tokens for two weeks so he could go first. He used his tokens to buy all 10 of the erasers which were the hot item of the week. He then (with his teacher's permission) created a secondary market for the erasers and had kids bidding against each other. He nearly doubled his tokens in 15 minutes.
I was very proud.

Only impressive if they are not on their teens. Mine is 25 months and potty trained. And speaks in complete, grammatically-correct sentences. And gets his own sippy cup from the fridge. I swear he will be in College before he can drive.

But does he know about the 2014 KIA rondo?
Last night, my kid surprised me with a pizza from a high priced local place and a dozen Voodoo Donuts.
Can't wait until he is old enough to buy (me) beer!
My three-year-old daughter can read.
My 5 1/2yo replied to the waitress if we had any questions with 'How are televisions made?'

My youngest son skateboarded off the roof when he was 8...after removing the wheels and trucks first. This was after his oldest brother had chickened out. Younger brother called him out, older brother threw down the dare...big mistake. Youngest son hid his broken ankle for three days. Neighborhood still talks about it. Thank God no one called child services.

Who do you think made all those posts?
My five year old daughter wandered into the garage a few weeks ago, stopped for a moment, looked at the cars and asked, "Did you put snow tires on the Porsche?"
She was correct.
