I found this on another forum, and I'm gonna guess our reaction is going to be different from the stuffed shirts that populate that one.

While I can't really understand doing that to a set of tires (unless they are freebies paid for by some sort of sponsorship $), I would be peeved at Chevy. I would hope the replacement airbags and putting the car back together are covered under warranty. Hope the burns weren't too bad.
Why sell a Pony Car if it isn't meant to be driven hard, are GM saying all their cars are not to be enjoyed?
Another example of why we want old cars.
The cost of replacing all that stuff is not minor. (i.e. Sodium azide isn't cheap.)
[my bad....just watched the rest of it and saw the $5k replacement cost already stated in the video.]

Do I think it is Chevrolets fault? Nope.

Don't whine when society fails to care when you screw up then.

Don't worry, I don't.

+1
The nanny State doesnt want to kill us, it wants to make us zombies.
Look around, Zombies are everywhere!
Seems like sensors are not set quite right, if they went off like that.
If that set them off, whats going to happen when performing an evasive maneuver to avoid t-boning someone pulling out of a side street?
It doesn't do much good to avoid one accident if you end up having another because the airbags deployed prematurely startling the driver and reducing visibility.

It isn't Chevrolets fault. It's our fault, or the politicians or whatever. I think air bags are great. They should be available to anyone who wants them. But we shouldn't be forced to have them.

I went to a drifting event once just to see what it was about. Uh, if that was drifting, it was bad drifting. Probably a stock car.

Thats would be the last thing on my mind, trust me. I choose to wear my seatbelts, and equip myself with the required safety equipment when required. Ihate modern seatbelts that are designed to be unobtrusive and easy for fat people to install, instead of useful.

No, our corporate mommies would NEVER allow that. I remember, before there were OCS (occupant classification systems in vehicles the gubment wouldn't allow us techs to install a defeat switch even if the owner signed every document known to man.

that's dangerous trying to evade an accident. Just let it happen so the car can save your life
I seem to recall that some head of the insurance group said that driver training does not prevent accidents?

My sentiments exactly. I found the video hilarious. Besides, what the berkeley is GM's motivation to sell anything?
They should sell a minivan that shoots dirty aids needles at its occupants every time you hit the brakes, and call it the Chevy berkeleyyouamericawe're'toobigtofail'
