Well I spent the last 6 days up working and setting up a team to head to Argentina to do some work down there for a month or so. So I went, worked my butt off for the entire time and came home with a decent tan (should have seen my girlfriends reaction when she saw me) and a new dog in tow.
Let me introduce you all to Rick, he is my detection dog that I will be using for my research project. He is kind of an old guy (we think he is 11) but my project is going to be light duty for him and he still acts like a puppy most of the time. I'm going to spend the next month or so reconditioning him and getting him back into working shape.
What is bringing a dog back from Argentina like?
...and to detect what?
Stan
It is likely a Hot Chick Detecting dog, Argentina is filthy with them seeing that all the hot chicks are sitting out on the beaches and the dogs don't have much to do.
Speaking of 4 legs and Argentina, be sure and eat some steak while you're there.. likely the best in the world.
Sadly this go around I won't be in Argentina, I just prepped the team to go and did the final work with the dogs to go.
As far as sending the dogs in and out of the country, there is a crap load of paperwork, inspections and usually in some countries bribes are involved. The team is going down there this time looking for Bush Dogs these guys here.
Rick has gone down and worked there before as well as all over the US and other places in South America. He is going to be helping out with my research for school and basically will be leading an easy life these days.
EDIT:
Oh as for needing the "hot chick" detection dog that is what the puppy is for he is also and attractant lol. Though I have now been with my new girl friend for 3 weeks and things are going great and she is hot and is helping me on the Olds
What are you going to do to the Bush Dogs when you find them? Hopefully not round them up and kill them, but I can see how they could be a problem sort of like Nutria, or whatever those giant rat things are called.
A bush dog? That thing has evil eyes.

Yeah, that's a mean looking sumb itch.
Also, let's not forget - let's NOT forget, Dude - that keeping wildlife... an amphibious rodent...for uh, domestic...you know, within the city - that aint legal either.

The team actually should not interact with the Bush Dogs at all. The dogs are trained to find their scat that will then be collected and a series of tests will be performed on to get genetic and hormone information.
