Hit my breaking point with the e36. Here's the replacement. 1999 528i and yes it's a stick. Headlights are awful. A little scruffy, but the owner did right by it on the preventive maintenance side. And it was cheap

Way too light outside and way to close for a good CL ad - although it does have a good amount of blur.

I got stupid lucky and scored a set of OEM Hella xenons for my 525iT for cheap. But that's not likely to pop up, so wet sand them w/ 600 grit and shoot them w/ automotive clearcoat. They're like new again.

In reply to motomoron: That is what i did with my E53, and the came out great. I used the 3m kit and then sealed them when finished.

Good luck with your mission Sir. My E39 has been a nightmare since day 1. SAI pump failed, valve cover gasket, MAF, Wheel Speed Sensor, seat crooked, window regulators, suspension bushings.... All i need is about $4k to correct everything!
