The new V series...

The upcoming remake has prompted some channels to start showing the old one. My dad's always been a big fan of it and wanted to get me to watch, but from the first or second episode the ultra-obvious Nazi metaphor was so in-your-face it seems to insult the viewer's intelligence...right off the bat you know the aliens are evil and have a pretty good idea what to expect, and there are few surprises. That totally ruined the old series for me. So you figure in the new series they'd address this huge obvious flaw.

Oh, wait, no, it looks like they've just done a little find-and-replace:

Nazis --> Democrats

Orange suits --> Gray suits

80s special effects --> Present-day special effects

Wow, way to class it up. Cash in on US political divisiveness.

Original V series:

My wife is a huge V fan, I just don't see whats so special about it....She says the same thing about Top Gear.

They get one shot at earning my viewership tonight. Morena Baccarin is lovely to look at but she ain't wiping Trevors ass and she ain't teaching Tanner how to read... so she better come with some real game.

Am I the only one who thought it looked as if the thing was filmed at about 20 frames per second? Just enough to notice that motion wasn't completely smooth?

damn i thought cadillac was coming out with something even more badass than the v series STS with the blower and all wheel drive.
