Bhahaha!!!
Glad you're doing well Wally
Now is the time to get people in on the story, so when you talk about that knife fight in Morrocco someone can say "Hey Wally - show them your scar."
Heal fast!
I read that as "fur hater top" which did not significantly alter my appreciation of the post.
Glad to hear all is going well.
I survived a week. In most ways it's not bad. The pain wasn't too bad, and by Monday it was pretty much gone. The liquid diet on the other hand is a bit old. I get three ounces 4-5 times a day, first clear liquids like juice or broth, and now slightly heavier liquids like protein shakes. In between I can have water but just small sips. I mistakenly took a gulp of water a few times and feel painfully full for a while.
Physically I'm only really limited to no lifting while the muscles heal and being careful showering to not damage the steri strips. I returned to work Thursday after the storm because I was a little bored and the other manager that shares my jobs was going on vacation. Full days were not much of an issue other than a bit of tiredness at the end of the day. If anyone is considering it or has any questions feel free to ask.
Wally, glad you're healing well.
thank you for all the updates and for taking us along with you on your journey.
how soon before you get off the liquid diet? Will it progress to soft foods and then finally back to solid food?

Yep, my brother and mother both had the procedure and they reported the same thing...tiny, tiny amounts at a time or else pain.
Love you Wally, best wishes.

I will probably be on liquids another week and a half before attempting soft foods, then 2-3 weeks more until solid foods.
In reply to Stampie :
There were a few reasons I went back soon, but seeing as I've felt absolutely no pain it didn't make sense to burn time off.

He gave me a number that escapes me at the moment but in terms my fat ass understands are friends report filling up at around three chicken nuggets, four ravioli, or half a slice of pizza.

It's going pretty well, I have very few issues, and I'm down 65lbs. I have been extremely happy with it so far. Thank You.
Good for you. 65 pounds is no small feat. Stay happy and healthy. (All the better for getting in and out of the Vette)
Great job Wally! Keep it up.
BTW: I'm impatiently waiting for the next installment of your dating journal. That latest one sounds like a keeper.
