do yourself a favor, watch this movie - too funny, too, too funny.

+4. The hell of it is: I saw him on The Daily Show a coupe of nights ago and he was funny as hell. Put him in a movie, bleah.
I never got the whole Anchorman thing and haven't seen a lot of his other movies like Semi-Pro or LOTL but I loved him in Old School and Talledega Nights.
Didn't care for Anchorman at all - I don't think I even sat through the whole thing. Although I love Elf. Ricky Bobby had some funny moments, but overall not my thing. Other Will Ferrell movies I've either not seen or forgotten about.
I think it is just that most of his work is juvenile. Like early Adam Sandler. But Sandler grew beyond "Billy Madison".
The only Ferrell movie I liked was "Stranger Than Fiction"
Obviously you guys are too old to get his humor. Wait, but Will Farrell is old.
We don't get him either.
Will Ferrel did his best work as Ron Burgundy.. how can anyone not love the brawl in the alley?
"Boy, that escalated quickly."

and he was also the cowbell guy in that one infamous SNL skit..

"Brick, where'd you get a hand grenade?"
"I don't know."
I agree on Will. I never cared for sandler either until some of his more recent and semi-serious movies
Will Ferrel is fine in small doses, like most other 'typecast' actors. Anchorman had loads of great lines, and the film where he plays a figure skater was pretty funny.
This is good stuff from him (and his daughter):

I believe that is his site in some way also (started it?).
