The semi-official Hot Wheels/Matchbox want/buy/trade thread

Where are you guys finding these? I went to Walmart, found a couple 510s, but they weren't the BRE ones.

No older skylines either.

Not entirely sure. What color caterham you want? I have red and yellow. Total of 3 I can let go. Anything particularly amusing/old school? I'm particular to old style police cars. Matchbox has one in particular I really want, but i've yet to see it outside a 5 pack, and I just don't like those.

I REALLY like that. Anything similar/equally old school would be interesting as well.

All over the place. When I got on a run I usually hit Toys R Us, Kmart, Target, Walmart. Kmart is awesome because they have a s00per sekrit deal with Mattel, and they get exclusive colors of Hot Wheels no one else will. They're also well known in the collector community, so they tend to be picked over. Other places to check- CVS/Walgreens, grocery store end caps, toy sections in otherwise not kid oriented stores. I found a really random paintjob Plymouth GTX in Sears of all places, and it was a 2010, so that car'd probably been on the shelf for at least two years. I'm always keeping my eyes open. When I got towards my wifes parents place, I hit Pamida and Shopko. They're both in the middle of nowhere, not a lot of collectors. GREAT place to find a lot of things.

I noticed Hot Wheels has released "originals" from the 80's. I am resisting the urge to buy them all. The local KMart here has a good selection of newer cars, I'll try to keep my eyes open for anything anyone is looking for here. I know there is a Pacer and a Triumph that I saw. Didn't have time to look closer.

Was at the local Taget and found no less than 5 of the all white skylines. I already scored one last week so I left them for someone else to get, but if you are relentless in checking every chance you get there are great finds to be had.

Javelin- I have acquired a Morgan with the British flag top. It's sitting next to a pair of brown AMX's with white? stripes. You've got first call on them. The rest of you lot, pictures coming, let's just call me caterham/GT3 RS central for right now.

This weekend I finally got the 510. I wish there was another one there so I could have purchased it as trade fodder.

I will post my weekend haul sometime, I got more than 30 this weekend because they were on sale on black friday.

An original Hot Wheels 2.7 Carrera RS (in White w/Red, natch) and a Matchbox 996 Carrera 'Vert (Dark pearl Blue w/ Tan interior) for starters...

That could be a Johnny Lightning casting. They made a Stude Truck in the early 00's. I have a light gold/beige one. It was odd because they used a different year bed then the cab.
