White Castle is like burger-flavored Pepto Bismol. Great if you need to clear out the system in a hurry.

Which is why it's so great, duh! The only better drunk food south of the Manson-Nixon line is Waffle House.

Consider this your only warning.Big guy over here acting like he’s king. What, did some lady of the lake hold Excalibur up and proclaim you king? Well guess what, Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony.
You can't expect to wield supreme power just 'cause some watery tart threw a sword at you!
After three days of ballot counting and endless chatter on cable news channels the sword in the stone thing actually sounds like a pretty good system.

This. Hopefully in the next four years social media gets better at "contact tracing" and identifying purveyors of lies.

Waffle House is the best drunk food for sure.
I've been drunk plenty of times, and I've had White Castle enough to know I'm not a fan, regardless of my state of inebriation.
I'm dealing with the stress through a vigorous policy of rationalization and James Bond movies. And I took the dog for a nice long walk yesterday.

It's the other way around...White Castle was first, the founder of Krystal copied them.

Guilty pleasures while SWMBO is out. I wish I could cook but as fussy an eater as I am I just don't have any patience or skill.

1. Three pizza places within walking distance.
2. One Chinese take-out within walking (owned by my neighbors, coincidentally...)
3. Alcohol is weird in PA, but I'm not lacking for choices there either. A local bar at the end of my street and a hipster/trendy place with decent food within walking distance.
4. Sorely lacking in sushi options... this makes me sad.
5. Two Tex-Mex places within a short drive.
I spend too much time on YouTube. Guitar gear review videos can get me. I have a new fuzz/flanger pedal arriving today. Part of me wants to go look for a new Adam Jones model Les Paul, but then I remember I already have a '79 Les Paul Custom that didn't cost me $6000...
I have no White Castle within my immediate typical travel routes, so, when my path crosses one, I confess it might be the thing I choose. My last was Canton, MI some time over this past summer.
Similar, Chick Filet is rare on my routes so always a choice when it crosses my path. I will say that I looked forward to it crossing my path. However, last year (or more) they put a Chick Filet just 3 miles from my house. I think I have been to it twice in the past year. Having it so close sort of takes away the "uniqueness". Now it is just another choice down the road of many choices. Often the line at Chick Filet is sooo long at prime times that I really just don't want to take the time. I guess I'll revisit when the excitement dies down.

I haven't been to a WC in ages. I think the last time was one in NJ that was near some biking dirt jumps. After the jumps got plowed I had no reason to go back. I think the WC isn't there anymore either. Otherwise I have no idea where the closest one is. I also rarely eat fast-food burgers.
I hear you on the Chic Fila lines. There is one in NJ that was my go-to dinner stop on my way home from NH. THe parking lot was often a zoo and the drive-thru line insane. Granted, I always went inside since at that point in my drive I needed a nature break. There is a fairly new one near me that replaced a Sonic drive-in. Every time I drive past it's packed.

I can assure you that Waffle House extends further into VA and NC than that map shows
