I spent some time hanging out of sky scraper windows and ledges when i was in high school and worked for a mechanical firm in the summers in Manhattan. 17 or so stories up installing intake plenums and such seems amateurish compared to tower work.
I guess Ill have turn in my badass card now, you guys who climb towers are on a whole different level (literally!)....
While I've never climbed to anything approaching that height, I do frequently climb the 105 foot ladder at work for training. I've always said that I can climb up forever, but I hate climbing down. Somewhere, I have photos from the fire academy. We had to climb to the top, clip in and then let go with both hands and lay back.
That being said, the worst part for me going up is looking out over...nothing. It would be much more comforting if it were a ladder up against a building or something.
Even with just 105 feet, you get pretty short of breath and sore if you're not used to it.
