Thought for the day.
While there are some things that feel better, there is nothing like the feeling of taking a crappy bolt and/or hole and chasing the threads then fitting the parts back together.
To bad house hold chores don't give the same satisfaction.
I thought this was going to be about taking a good E36 M3.
In reply to Huckleberry:
I hate it when those get crossthreaded
In reply to ronholm:
Or come out like a breach baby

Scatological references aside, yes, this is like pulling out a splinter. And seeing the shiny new hardware where there used to be rusty and/or stripped out crap is very satisfying.

And now for the other end of the spectrum, there is nothing like the feeling, of lying under a car on a 35 degree F garage floor, removing a nut from the engine to trans stud and only having 30 degrees of turning radius and no room for a ratchet.
My arms feel like they are going to fall off now.
Glad its time for lunch. At least I dont have to line on the ground for the top two after lunch.
the feeling of brand new socks > every other feeling (except one, and rusted bolts are not it).

The only thing better than that is pinching a loaf on the clock.

The only thing better than that is surfing the internets, while pinching a loaf, while on the clock. It's the new American dream.

Some have trained themselves to dump on the clock. Think of the company time plus TP, that adds up over 30 years.

I sure as E36 M3 have trained myself to poop on the clock. I deal with other people's crap (metaphorcally) all day, so i feel like its karma to get paid to take care of my own.
After all, its the American dream.

When I am rich, I shall never wear the same pair of socks twice.
Joey has the right idea...

Totally understand the benefit of that. Last job at the gooberville factory I only E36 M3 there 11 times in 4 years, had to be turdle-headin' or it can wait... it was that creepy, even w/ ass gaskets. I was pipe fitter there so we had the plumbing too, totally disgusting how some peoples toilet habits are.
