"I'm sure the man won't be getting into that situation again.''
On a side note, I'm glad to see that this was in the UK. I don't like the fact that the Sun has a whole section for weird things in the USA: http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/showbiz/bizarre/usa/
Our tabloids should start a section on silly limey behavior.
"The anxious man aged about 40 gave hospital staff no explanation about how the pipe got stuck after he turned up on Tuesday morning."
I'd have said "uh, we ain't getting it out till you 'splain this to us all" and just waited.....
Seems like all they really needed to do was put him in a cold shower and it would fall off by itself. I'm guessing that somebody on the rescue squad was just itching to use and angle grinder on a hootis. Well, atleast they spared him the oxy torch.

Or the pipe cutter...

Actually, no. It constricts blood flow to the veins, since they're closer to the surface. So... blood can flow in, but it can't flow out.

Yup, that makes sense. The metal pipe was working on exactly the same principle as one of those little rubber rings that some guys put around their weiners (NSFW) to partially constrict the blood flow. Unfortunately for him , the pipe worked too well; i.e. it totally cut off the blood flow. If they hadn't removed the pipe he would have gotten gangrene and lost his lucky member.

This post needs a NSFW warning. And a don't go there warning.
Makes me think. When we got carbide wedding rings in at work I asked how it could be removed at the hospital in the event of an emergency. They use vice grips to squeeze and shatter them. I woned if you could do the same with a cast iron pipe? Maybe guys should use cast iron pipes instead.

They could do a section on just Floriduh
Maybe he was following the Cialis advertisement's advice "if you experience an erection lasting more than four hours, seek medical attention "...

OK, I added a NSFW warning to the wikipedia link I posted above. I'm curious, though.....given the topic at hand, what did you expect to be at that link?
