Uhhh...
I'm pretty speechless.

Just heard that on the radio this morning while eating breakfast. Fantastic!
It is pretty fascinating, but wouldn't you think there'd be a higher risk of infection with this type of procedure?
The real surprise was had by the male patient when not only was his GOOD kidney removed but to have it removed through his mangina...
Nothing like reading medical stuff while eating breakfast. Guess it helps being a bio major when you read about stuff like a "transvaginal kidney removal" lol...But then I've done dissections directly after eating lunch.

DUDE!
YES!
I had a Tuna Melt on Wheat with . . . .you guessed it . . .BACON!
This one kinda made me think twice about getting that peach cobbler I was eyeballing . . .

Snicker all you want to, but the Doc's are coming up with some much better proceedures. I had a cancerous kidney removed last year. Robot was the only thing in my body, 2 very small scars, and one about 2" long on my navel. Only two days in the garage. This was at Cleveland Clinic, Ft. Lauderdale. Class place.
Seems sensible to me.
Maybe the fact that I watched "Repo! the Genetic Opera" last night removed some of the shock factor though.

Was it uncomfortable when they pulled it out of your hoo-ha?

I'm really curious about that. How is it?

OT: Awesome! Totally berkeleyed up. I loved it. It was an opera, in all that entails: it was goofy, and melodramatic, and completely over the top. Seriously dark humor. My girlfriend and I are also big fans of Anthony Stewart Head. If you can giggle at the thought of Tony Head singing tenderly to his daughter while he pulls someone's spine out, you'll love it.
Not sure whether or not it's quite worth owning. But it is definitely worth watching at least once. We would have loved to watch it in a theater.

Reviving this oldie but goodie, we just got finished watching this tonight. I really wish more folks had the balls to make movies like this. Maybe it's not what everyone wanted to see, or what studios were interested in, but it's exactly what the creators had envisioned that they would someday produce. And you know that full well, before you even watch them say it in the DVD extras.
Some really amazing performances, both in front of and behind the camera, from folks who looked like they got an absolute thrill from creating something special.

I just checked out the showings page and I just missed a showing in my area. The movie looks totally badass.
