I'm Going to be stuck in Boston Sunday. Anything fun/cool to do?
When I am there I will often go to Tia's by the waterfront and get the $15.00 steamed lobster special. and a couple of beers to go with it.
Stuck in Boston itself? Or will you have a car? Larz Anderson is always cool if you have a way to get there - looks like Sunday is their day for BMWCCA. In Boston, head up to the North End and get some Italian, see Paul Revere's house, go the the gigantic farmer's market in Haymarket if you're so inclined. There's lots to do just in terms of walking around, the ferries to the harbor islands are cool too if you want to do something outdoors.
You could also do a tour at Taza chocolate in Somerville, it costs $8 but the chocolate is amazing and they give you a lot of it. If you're into beer or cider, there are lots of breweries around that are worth visiting - Aeronaut, Night Shift, and Bantam come to mind. There's also GrandTen distilling in South Boston if spirits are more your style.
What do you want to do?
Still firming things up (gotta love last-minute work travel) but it looks like I'll be getting off the plane early afternoon. I'll have the afternoon and evening.
The museum of science sounds cool, as does the BMW event.
Thanks for the restaurant ideas, always looking for a good place to eat.
I do want to take in the history for sure. Soo much to do!
Get a cannoli up in the North End. Over closer to the airport, there's Harpoon Brewery which is worth a visit if IPAs are your thing. There's a place in Chinatown called the Dumpling House - tiny place, they put like 12 tables where there should probably be only like 6 - but the food is amazing.
If you are driving around, you MUST read this first. It should be available at any airport bookstore.
Take a cab over to Faneuil Hall/Quincy Market. Walk around. Lots of food vendors. Usually some street performers. Across the street is the waterfront and some parks. There is one of those water squirter areas for the kids to cool down in so if its hot you can always check out the hot moms while you eat the food you bought at Faneuil Hall. North End is a short walk. So is the Boston Garden, the aquarium, city hall, and many of the freedom trail attractions. You can kill a good 6 to 8 hours there, not get bored, and not spend much money.
If you don't like spiders, you might want to skip the Museum of Science. They are doing some big exhibit on spiders right now. The rest of the museum rules though! Other stuff to do:
-There are a million restaurants around that have awesome food. Figure out what you want and go to one. The North End would be a good place to start looking.
-If there's a Red Sox game happening that night, go check it out. Beware though: the park is small, and so are the seats.
-The New England Aquarium is cool and fun. They have a big cylindrical center tank with a ramp that spirals all the way to the top.
-The Seaport District is an up-and-coming area. You can probably find something cool to do over there.
-If the Harpoon Brewery is open, check that out. There's also the Sam Adams one, but it's in Jamaica Plain and it's really small and may not be open.
Boston does not suck.
In reply to SilverFleet:
If you go to a Red Sox game - get standing room tickets. They're fun, and you get to see a lot more of the park than if you get a seat and stay there. I'm not a huge baseball fan anyway so most of the entertainment for me is wandering around the park.

Don't mispronounce those letters, just flat out drop them from your vocabulary.
Oh yeah don't act like an Athol either. Boston is awesome Wall-E, and you know it.

Sub out cab for the T and I do this about twice a year. Always fun.
